Jason and Lindsey's Webbing... I mean Wedding!Jason and Lindsey have tied the knot! Congratulations! This all happened on the 3rd February and it was a beautiful day. They wed in the Roma street parklands (by Dunk's aunty Margaret) and the reception was held at the XXXX brewery Ale House. Lindsey looked just stunning and Jason was very dapper indeed too. It was clear that they were so very happy and pleased with it all. Here are a couple of pics but if you would like to see some professional ones then have a look at
www.tonisnellblog.com.au I still get goosebumps looking at them! Congratulations my little brother and welcome to the family lovely Lindsey!
Just thought we'd add this one to show you Isla's lovely little pink princess dress she wore to the wedding!
SANDS Charity SwimI am just going to steal Susies blogging words on this, see below. SANDS stands for Stillbirth and Neonatal Death support group and have been a great support to Libby and Ian after the terrible loss of their son, Kieran Thomas Hughes (28/6/06). Dunk, Isla and I joined them in their swim to raise awareness and funds for this group.
15 people
4 swimming pools
2 countries
Over 350 laps
Nearly £4000 raised to date…
All for 1 cause…
To not only raise money to help SANDS continue their good work, but more importantly, to raise awareness for what continues to be a rather taboo area of bereavement and loss…
A special note from Libby & Ian "The atmosphere was fantastic, everyone was feeling very positive and happy. We surprised even ourselves by focusing on our inner strength and swimming faster than we ever thought we could. The money you have helped raise will go such a long way to helping SANDS help other people who have lost their own Kieran. With love and hugs and tired and sore muscles. A contented Libby & Ian. In memory of Kieran...."
Our fundraising website will be open for a few more weeks: http://www.justgiving.com/kieranhughesDuncan starts the swim
Hand over of Isla
Tash does a bit, but Dunk finishes off the hour
Well Done to all swimmers!
Keeping CoolIt's been quite warm out here and since we don't have air conditioning we look for other ways to keep cool
We bought this groovy little kids pool and Isla just loves the stars that have bells inside. She would sit in there all day if we let her!
And another way to keep cool, I mean BE cool!
Art with IslaWe've started to explore the arts with our young lady and she seems to be very happy experimenting with the different textures and colours of paint, feltpens, pencils etc, but mainly she just tried to eat them. Here she is with her first fingerpainting event.
Looking good to start with!
A bit of help from Mum...
The end result of Isla... want a cuddle now?
Lorraine's 60th PartyMy aunty Lorraine celebrated her 60th birthday at the beginning of January down at Tweed Heads. Gary, Nickole, Isla and myself headed down there to help celebrate. Everyone had a great time and it looked like Lorraine was having a great time rock and roll dancing!
